Chairman’s Chatter
Editor’s Report
Happy New Year to one and all. Let’s hope that 2012 is a more successful year than last. We have had a few new members join our ranks so please make them welcome – they are experienced anglers with string of successful catches to their creel.
Sadly, we also seem to have lost a few members as well. Kinger, Roy Gordon, and Brian Dance among them. About 6 have not rejoined and some have not replied to contact e-mails. Several will be re-joining later in the year.
Most trips at the end of the year suffered from high winds as did earlier trips.
I have had no trip reports so this month’s issue is rather sparse. I know that the Xmas Bash did not go as a result of wind. I don’t know whether the Weymouth trip went this last Sat. – perhaps someone will pen me a letter?
The latest trip list for 2012 from Gary is shown in ‘Trip Schedule’. Please check it out to make sure that your trips are correct. Also, please keep your eyes open if you are on reserve – ring up Gary a week or so in advance to see if a space has cropped up.
It is that time of year again where we would like you to get your cups and trophies back by the beginning of March. The earlier the better so that we can get them engraved and cleaned. If you are not on an early trip (eg Bertie) perhaps you could take a look at the attached membership list as well and see if there is a window when someone is down your way and you could meet up to pass the cups over to them to bring on ‘home’.
Well, here’s hoping we all get out a bit more often than last year.
